The one thing listed on this website that is original content  that you may not find elsewhere is the information on the Monday and Thursday route of the SVdP distribution of sack lunches (with some other essentials available) With 8 stops in parts of Carmichael, Citrus Heights and Fair Oaks. The rest of the content is some description of what some might find of interest on other websites with links. There are many organizations providing human services assistance of various types to people in varying circumstances and providing some help . This page lists some of the meals available to feed the hungry in Citrus Heights and surrounding areas. If you know of others that should be added please feel free to send a message at the end of this page 

1 findhelp.org (anywhere) is searchable by zip code lists thousands of programs that provide reduced cost or free help in many categories, food, housing, transit, health and others and appears to be a valuable resource for those looking for help. {info as of 4/3/2023}

2: a bit out of area but Loaves and Fishes every day has hot meals (Mon - Fri 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and Sat-Sun = 11am tot 12:30 pm) at 1351 N C St, Sacramento, CA 95811 has daily to go or in dining room meals for anyone in need. Also have multiple other programs including free veterinarian clinics, showers, help with finding other assistance etc. link to their website below: {info current as of 4/3/2023}

3 Mondays and Thursdays: SVdP food for the hungry delivery route on Mondays and Thursdays distributes a sack lunch with some commonly needed supplies available at various locations in Citrus Heights, Carmichael and Fair Oaks. In their effort to find people where they are see the current route of a St. Vincent de Paul group at the link below.  {info as of 7/3/2023}

4 Mondays (Roseville) = Helping Hands feeding Ministry 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm { meals served at First United Methodist Church, 109 Washington Blvd Roseville CA}. 5 Tuesday In Citrus Heights behind WalMart at 7010 Auburn Blvd Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART) and Grace House Hot meal and to go food 3pm - 4 pm. The link below is to a news article about the program 12/29/2022. You may find additional or more current or specific information about it elsewhere. Grace House has a website and a presence on social media that provides more info on their organization but I did not in a quick search find specifically information on this meal program. It is also listed in the document on the citrusheights.org website {info believed current as of 4/3/2023} The Grace House website mentions homeless feedings and other programs at https://gracehousenorcal.com/outreach/ .

6 Meals on Wednesdays at Fair Oaks Library (near Fair oaks Blvd and Madison Ave.) by Hart of Orangevale-Fair Oaks from 12:00 noon to 1 pm and they also offer some assistance to enable self sufficiency. The website also lists information about free showers on Saturdays at Pathways Fellowship Church at 8999 Greenback lane (10:00 am to 12:30 pm) and links to other nearby HART organizations. {info as of 4/4/2023}

St. Vincent de Paul’s TO GO serves a warm meal three days each week, and a cold meal two days a week. In collaboration with our community partners, Salvation Army and First United Methodist Church, we provide nutritional meals both to the homeless and to low-income individuals and families in our community. 10 supper on 3rd Saturday of each month at 4 pm at Carmichael Presbyterian Church (5645 Marconi Avenue)

Also website lists "Our campus is open every Saturday to provide showers to our homeless neighbors from 9 am – 1 pm, in partnership with Carmichael HART."
